What Is Your Favorite Overlooked Movie?

Warning to Presiding Overseers!

it advises presiding overseers that they are contravening the charities act by doing the audit.
instead service committees are now to appoint someone to do the audit.. strange things seem to be happening in britain!

This happened at the cong I went to , money was stolen for quite some time and there was a big cover up. someone who shouldn't have come into contact with the contributions money was taking it, and of course most of us were thinking it must be a 'mistake' at the bank, because Jehovah's people are a clean people, and so it must be someone in the world.(!)A 'favoured son' was responsible and we never really were told what happened, just dribs and drabs of chatter. They should at least have told the cong. Result; privelidges withheld, and sharp words from the platform for the rest of us to shut up!I think this was the beginning of the end for me, I dont want to say too much more now, but I geuss it must be quite common.

Kissing....Lips or Cheeks?
by teenyuck inat my dad's funeral i realized something...all the jw relatives on my mother's side of the family "lip" kiss.
this means that when you are greeting that person, male or female, young or old, you grasp them, pull them forward, hug and kiss...on the lips!!!
uuuggghhh!!!

I am shocked not to say disgusted, being British I find there is never any need for more than a firm ( yet brief) hand shake at full arm's length. All that hugging and kissing at the hall made me sick, especially when you knew what they were saying about each other ( and me no doubt) the rest of the time.

my old cong knows my address and phone number yet no-one has visited or phoned to invite me.

No no-one has invited me yet, Iam not DF'd or DA'd yet. Funny thing though, I get Watchtowers and Awakes brought to me, but the ones that are missing must be the ones that mention the Memorial, because I've not found any reference to it.I would not go anyway because I cannot and never have seen the point in just going once a year, like people who only go to church at Christmas. Also I am currently trying to understand the whole thing of communion.Should it be for everyone , I don't know.

Do you think I'll be DF'd now?
by meat pie inabout three weeks ago i told a friend about the un thing, no-one else, i had known for months but didn't tell her till she brought up a similar subject.
i gave her a printout from a guardian article, i have only had a short terse text message since.
i know she has a lot more to lose than i did, and i stopped going to meetings last year.

Thanks very much for all these replies. I think the most likely outcome might be what nowfree suggests, as I said I have some info they wouldn't like out. But it is true it all depends on local elders and new co for instance. And BTW we already have 2 of these military police/ jesuit type elders. My original fall out was over the 'we can be trusted but everyone in-the-world cannot' attitude, I argued with the 2 special elders at my home over this until one didn,t speak and the other almost agreed!So as you say Christfollower, if they asked me the BIG question I could not lie, I will not lie to please these men.( there is alot more than this issue of course) Thanx Meat pieXXX
